In all scientific research applications, each cell type will benefit from keeping proper physiological cell growth conditions. Cell culture incubators attempt to mimic physiological conditions, but atmospheric conditions within the laboratory and the environmental parameters incubators attempt to control and are lost with each door opening taking a long time to get back to the growth conditions your work is dependent on. The BioVanguard series consists of high-quality Class II biological safety cabinets, designed for microbiological research with, for example, bacteria, viruses and allergens.

The safety cabinets offer optimum protection for product, user and environment in places where substances with biosafety levels 1, 2 and 3 are used. This series meets the highest requirements in terms of quality, biological safety, reliability, ergonomics and user-friendliness. In addition, both energy consumption and noise levels are low.

Especially for applications with a high microbiological risk or toxic applications, such as the production of cytotoxic drugs, there is the BioVanguard B. It is equipped with a 1st HEPA-filter stage below the work surface, which filters intake air and keep the internal construction of the cabinet free from contamination.
CleanAir EF Series, our top range of high-quality Class II Biological Safety Cabinets ensures the highest level of protection for operator, product, and environment, minimizing hazards inherent to working with agents assigned to biosafety levels 1, 2 and 3. They are suitable for microbiological research with, for example, bacteria, viruses and allergens. The users are protected by inflow, the products by HEPA-filtered laminar downflow in the working area (30% exhaust, 70% recirculation). HEPA-filtered exhaust air ensures environmental protection. The design meets the highest requirements in terms of safety, ergonomics, ease of use and reliability.

Type EF / B is designed for applications with a high microbiological risk and for toxic applications, such as the preparation of cytotoxic drugs. As an additional safety element, the cabinet is equipped with an additional V-shaped HEPA filters under the worktop. They filter the inflow air and the downflow, protecting the working area against contamination. EF Series is designed and manufactured according to international biosafety standards EN12469 (Class II), NSF49 (Class II Type A2). The working area is classified as ISO 14644-1 (Class 5) and GMP Annex 1 (Class A). Additionally, Type EF/B cabinets are designed and manufactured according to DIN 12980 (Class II). EF is designed for microbiological research with biological agents (e.g., bacteria, viruses, etc) and allergens.

The Baker NCB™ e3 biological safety cabinet exceeds specifications for the NCI-1 cabinet developed by the National Cancer Institute, with unique design features proven to enhance containment while inhibiting cross contamination and exposure to chemicals, vapours, and gases. Patented under the work surface, HEPA filters and the direct exhaust airflow system combined, increases protection from particulates, preventing the build-up of chemical vapours and gases. All exhaust air is removed directly from the work area (direct exhaust) into a building’s separate exhaust system. Vapours and gases emitted from vessels or work behind the air split (approximately halfway back from the cabinet front) are removed and not recirculated.
HEPA filters located below the work surface assure that all positive pressure areas are free of particulate contamination. Additionally, all positive pressure plenums are completely surrounded by negative pressure. Recirculated air is HEPA-filtered immediately below the work surface before it is passed through a supply downflow filter above the work area.

Optional Fume Hood Package – Meets the UL requirements for Electrical/Mechanical Safety (UL 61010-1) and the UL requirements for Material Flammability and Effectiveness of Airflow Characteristics (UL 1805). The cabinet design has been tested in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE 110-1995. Usage should be determined by a professional industrial hygienist.
